What it is

Not a bootcamp. A program kids actually want to come back to.

Coach P (Paul Clotar) and Coach Q (Nate Queen) have been coaching their own boys since age 2 — through t-ball, soccer, basketball, flag football, tennis, golf, and baseball. Both were collegiate athletes. They've coached championship teams season — the kind of locker room kids tell stories about for years. Mind Your P's & Q's takes what worked there and turns it into a year-round program. Strong bodies. Sharp minds. The little things — manners, accountability, finishing what you start — that compound into something rare.

We're hard. We're also fun. Kids leave a Sunday session sweating and laughing.

Our promise to parents

  • Safe. Vetted, trained coaches. First-aid certified.
  • Real coaching. Not babysitting with cones.
  • Honest progress reports. You'll see the change.
  • Inclusive. All kids. All skill levels.

For the kids · Ranks & prizes

Every Day earns a band.

Just like martial arts. Kids climb from White to Black by showing up and completing Days — and every band comes with a real prize. Booster packs at White, all the way up to the black headband and a Champions Trip.

Meet the coaches

Two coaches. One standard.

Coach P and Coach Q have coached their own sons since age 2 — through t-ball, soccer, basketball, flag football, tennis, golf, and baseball. Both were collegiate athletes. They show up the same way they show up for their own kids: hard, present, and honest.

FAQ

What parents actually ask.

Is this a military bootcamp?

No. It's the opposite. Kids work hard and have fun. Coaches push them with respect — never yelling for the sake of yelling. The discipline is real, but the energy is positive.

What ages do you take?

The P's & Q's Day is built for ages 6–12. We can usually accommodate younger or older siblings on request.

What actually happens during a P's & Q's Day?

Six hours on the beach, built on four pillars — Discipline, Confidence, Mental Toughness, and Leadership — with 2–3 hands-on activities per pillar. Warm-up and run, sand drills, breath work, team challenges, a finisher game, a championship lunch, and a rank check where kids earn their next band. Lunch and all gear are included.

How does the belt / ranking system work?

Like martial arts. Kids earn a colored band for each milestone of Days completed — White, then Blue, Green, Gold, and finally Black. Every band comes with a real prize, from booster packs at White all the way up to the black headband and a Champions Trip with fellow Champions — plus new responsibility and leadership roles. There's always a reason to come back for the next Day.

What does my kid need to bring?

Workout clothes you don't mind getting sandy, a labeled water bottle, sunscreen on before arrival, and a willingness to try. We provide everything else.

What if my kid is shy or not athletic?

Perfect. That's actually our favorite kid to coach. Our pillar system meets each kid where they are and builds them up. No one gets left behind. No one gets embarrassed.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. If your kid hates their first Day, we refund it — no drama. Plus a Beat-Your-Baseline guarantee: beat your start-of-day numbers by sundown, or your next Day is on us.

Are you really a nonprofit — where does the money go?

Yes, we're a registered nonprofit. Parents and local sponsors can add an optional donation when they enroll, and 100% of it goes back to the kids: need-based scholarships, support for local youth charities, and keeping our coaching affordable. Need help affording a spot? Just ask — no red tape.

Are coaches certified and background-checked?

Yes. All coaches are background-checked, first-aid and CPR certified, and have references on file. We carry youth athletic non-profit insurance.
